Hello from Malaysia! 🇲🇾 Over the weekend, we stayed in Kuching, Malaysian Borneo’s largest city. A quick little trip, however we managed to squeeze in a lot. Hiking in the jungle, boating on the South China Sea and spent the last day at the Rainforest World Music Festival - a really cool experience. I participated in my first ever drum circle 🥁 Pic 1: Outside one of the huts at the Sarawak Cultural Village Pic 2: #RWMF2019 Next stop: Langkawi. HMU with your recommendations!

SCALE: girl vs tree vs waterfall. Makes you realise how big this waterfall is! This was the perfect day trip from Auckland. We hired a car and explored the west coast - the landscapes here look like a real life Jurassic 🦖
Despite having grown up travelling the world and living on Australia’s east coast, until last week, I had never been to New Zealand 🙀 While it’s a poor excuse, I put it down to the mindset of ‘it’s so close, it’ll always be there’. Although, cheap Click Frenzy airfares was all the convincing I needed to pack my bags and make my way across the ditch! Only a 3 hour flight from Sydney, a trip to Auckland is perfect for an extended weekend or short getaway - check out my #newblogpost 🔗 in bio. 📸 = view from our Airbnb balcony 😍
Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city is made up of 53 dormant volcanoes 🌋 It makes for a really unique city skyline, as there are volcanic cones that dot the landscape surrounding the city. While the volcanoes aren’t extinct (they’re dormant), there’s no need to worry; scientists estimate that there is a 0.1% chance of an eruption in any one year. Just in case you were wondering, the volcano behind me is Rangitoto; Auckland’s youngest and most active, having last erupted 600 years ago.
Waterfall featuring girl (that’s me!) and tripod. Actually, there was a big eel in the water not far from where I was standing. Posing for a pic too I guess 🤷🏽♀️ - For the five days we were in Auckland, it rained for four of them - which made for some nice waterfall action! Luckily, this was the one non-rainy day.
