🐨 Oh hey there poser 🤳 Lucky, he’s cute hey? While I really enjoyed my recent visit to Symbio Wildlife Park, I was so saddened to learn that koala numbers are on the decline in Australia. Extensive deforestation has led to koalas being left without a home. The Australian Koala foundation believes there could be as few as 80, 000 koalas left in the wild. Unfortunately, there aren’t any protective legislations in Australia yet, but we can all help to make a difference by contacting our local federal members, media and of course, planting trees! #savethekoala
🍃 weekend bliss 🍃 I love spending time outdoors, exploring the local escarpment where I live - how bloody epic is my backyard?!
Have you ever travelled to a place you’ve been dreaming of seeing for what feels like forever, only to be met by huge crowds of tourists, brandishing selfie sticks and all? 🤳 While there’s no denying that we all make up part of that group, it can be disappointing and somewhat annoying. I’ve written a blog post (🔗 in bio) with my top tips on avoiding crowds of tourists in popular cities. Let me know what you think/any tips you have!
Known as the ‘Gateway to the Margaret River Region’ and just 2.5hrs south of Perth is this gem, Busselton. The major drawcard for Busselton is this famous jetty. Measuring 1.8km in length, the heritage-listed jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere and makes for the perfect stroll in the sun.
Throwback Thursday to the time we rode a 400cc motorbike up to a snowy Crater Lake. Our bike, Rhonda the Honda, choked a few times, but still managed to get us to the top and back! The 2 months I spent riding and camping around the PNW in mid 2014 is still one of my favourite trips to this day. Definitely time for a return I think 🏍
Gotta love those window seat views 🙌 This is shortly after sunrise, returning home & flying over Sydney - one of the prettiest airports to fly into ✈️
