I’m Kachina, a Sydney-based travel lover. I’ve been super fortunate in that I grew up with 2 hippy traveller parents, who weren’t gonna let a baby get in the way of their worldly adventures. 3 random things you might not know about me: 1) I have a bad habit of always laughing at the most inappropriate times (exhibit A above) 2) I can sing ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’ in Japanese 3) I think it’s a talent (my partner thinks it’s annoying), but I can say ‘I love you’ in about 7 languages and will repeat them continuously every night until I get a response for each 😇 disclaimer: usually after the 2nd or 3rd ‘I love you’, the standard response is ‘STFU’ 😂 Tell me about you! Can’t get enough of these buildings 😍 normally I’m definitely more of a landscape and nature kinda gal, but in Cambodia, I just couldn’t get enough of the intricate details in the architecture! #takemeback If I could go anywhere to just nerd out at man-made creations, Iran is definitely top of the list. The temples over there look UH-mazing! Have you ever been anywhere that’s left your jaw open in amazement? Or any bucket list countries you’re dying to get to?
Nothing better than a quiet seaside sunrise all to yourself 🌞 For the past 18months, I’ve been training pretty seriously. For a few reasons: 1. I actually enjoy it 2. Health reasons - the fitter and healthier I am, the longer and better I will live. 3. I have so much more energy to best equip me for my day when I’ve had a good sweat sesh. As surprising as it is to anyone who has known me a long time (heck, even myself), I long ago joined the 5am club and the benefits are amazing! Not only do I knock out a killer gym sesh first thing in the morning, my body clock has changed and has me waking up early, even on my rest days. While to some, this may seem pretty gross, but when I get to enjoy amazing scenes like this one all to myself, I totally don’t mind at all! Do you have any routines that you like to follow when you’re at home or not travelling? Or even any kickass goals that you’ve achieved and want to humble brag about? 🐨 Oh hey there poser 🤳 Lucky, he’s cute hey? While I really enjoyed my recent visit to Symbio Wildlife Park, I was so saddened to learn that koala numbers are on the decline in Australia. Extensive deforestation has led to koalas being left without a home. The Australian Koala foundation believes there could be as few as 80, 000 koalas left in the wild. Unfortunately, there aren’t any protective legislations in Australia yet, but we can all help to make a difference by contacting our local federal members, media and of course, planting trees! #savethekoala
